Out of the Package - Initial Views: Wow - most people are astonished by just how slim the UE40B7000 is - in reality less than an inch and a half in depth.Samsung has done well by ensuring that everything you need is integrated in the package, not like some of its competitors who on occasion move key components out to a separate box you have to find space for. It also looks excellent, with a prominent black surround and a slender see-through connection connecting the screen and the pedestal.

Sound: Similar to many flatscreen Televisions the audio output on the UE40B7000 is quite inadequate. There is so little depth to permit reasonable speakers. And the LAN network connection allows easy access to files on your home network.

The Samsung UE40B7000 Remote: There are in fact two remotes. The principle one curves over at one end (intended to put on an armchair arm?). A tad strange to grasp initially, but you get used to it. The second, smaller remote simply allows volume power and channel changes.
