You may be in the market for a new television set and if so, consider taking the step up to one of the many LCD TV sets that are on the market. If you think you might be interested in an LCD set, consider the Panasonic TX-L32S10. Its range of convenient features coupled with its low price and versatility makes it an excellent choice for all around family use.
The TX-L32S10 is one of the more popular additions to Panasonic’s Viera line of flat screen TVs and has many of the same features that have made them so popular. They include V-Audio Surround Sound and uses the Viera link for networking ease. The set also shows the same cutting edge style that others in the Viera line show including a sleek piano finish which positively gleams.
The TX-L32S10 TV set is very adaptable to different uses and has four different picture modes to support movies, gaming, dynamic and normal views. The screen is television set up to accommodate large groups gathered around by allowing for a wide viewing angle. The viewing angle is a full 178 degrees which provides plenty of distortion free viewing pleasure.
Image quality was quite good especially in key areas like reproducing flesh tone. However the TX-L32S10 screen pixel mapping capabilities were not 1:1 and this may make this unit unsuitable for viewing text applications and information. Its white-black uniformity was quite good on all areas of the screen. However, one image issue that did pop up was the softness of pixels at the edges of the screen. While this can be good to reduce aliasing when playing video games, it may not make a movie image as sharp.
As an entry level television the TX-L32S10 still exhibits a lot of the styling which the Panasonic Viera line is noted for. The most notable advantage is the remote control unit. It is a simply designed unit with an excellent layout for intuitive use. It also allows you to operate other AV equipment and this, when coupled with the Viera link networking system makes it simple and straightforward for you to use all AV components together as a cohesive whole. Viera link allows you to connect different AV components with an HDMI cable and then operate them using your television set remote.
Another excellent feature is the capability of the TX-L32S10 TV set to accept SD memory cards. This means that you will be able to view digital images on your set by inserting your SD card into a slot in the TV. Another option is to use a LUMIX camera that has an HDMI output terminal and connect it directly to the TV. This simplified interface method is one feature that many technophobes may appreciate.
While there are many features which make this TX-L32S10 TV appealing to many people, it is an entry level LCD television and this is something you should remember. While there are a number of amazing features, there are some issues with this TV. While the glossy finish of the television set looks quite stylish, it is prone to scratching and will show fingerprints which may put some people off this model. Also, as far as screen images are concerned, while the image quality is good, if you are a performance user who wants to push this unit you may find you are unable to calibrate the screen to the extent you may wish to.
But don’t let the few drawbacks put you off of considering this unit. While high performance users may wish to purchase a higher priced unit, the truth remains that for the money it is an extremely durable and well thought out option. If you are looking to purchase an LCD TV, try the Panasonic TX-L32S10.
