If you are in the mood for some blood and gore this Halloween, then you’ll want to see the famous slasher flick of all, Friday the 13th on the big screen. That date is significant because Jason Voorhees witnessed his mother’s beheading by a camp counselor at Camp Crystal Lake in the year 1980.

Because Jason witnessed the beheading of his mother at Camp Crystal Lake thirty years ago in the year 1980, he’s coming back with a vengeance.

Camp Crystal Lake’s wooded beauty now turns dark bloody red and the suspense will keep you on the edge of your chair. Jason seems to be more cunning than ever before and this flick is sure to have your arm hairs standing straight up.

The casting was a bit of a challenge to Director Michael Bay and Producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. They had only five young actors to work with in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but thirteen was certainly an unlucky number in this slasher flick.

Thirteen young actors were cast and recast until Fuller and Form could find thirteen that could work well together. It was a difficult task and so much so that these actors were not established until the very start of the movie.

The challenge of thirteen young actors that could simply get along together took its toll on the producers. It was more difficult than they had expected and they did not have a group established until literally the beginning of the film.

The rest of the team did a great job as well and that includes Nana Visitor, Julianna Guill, Jonathan Sadowski, Van Winkle, Danielle Panabaker, America Olivo, Aaron Yoo, and Richard Burgi who plays a great sheriff.

If you’re thirsting for a blood and guts slasher movie this Halloween then Jason delivers in this Friday the 13th revision. It’ll keep you on the edge of your seat that’s for sure. The producers of this movie will continue to make sequels for years to come.
