There will be a towns festival on April 17 and April 18, 2009 at the downtown area of 105 S. Shelby St., Blacksburg, SC 29702. This Iron City Festival has been held for the last four years. The family will enjoy the free admission and the diverse activities that the festival feature. There are activities that will range from the arts and crafts display, food and drinks and entertainment.

The craft show will be open from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and the vendors can set up their booths from 6:00 A.M. until 8:00 A.M.. Visitors will have enough parking area at the streets and bank lots. Vendors will have a designated parking are.

The festival is an outdoor without cover, street festival event just in case there will be bad weather visitors and vendors will need to prepare. The promoters will not be providing for the electricity and water for the vendors. The restrooms will be portable and some are located at the community center.

Craft, art and retail vendors that plan to attend this most awaited street festival there is a space fee of $25.00 for a 10′x10′ and $40.00 for a 10′x20′ space. For the food vendors the space fee is $30.00 for 10′x10′ and $50.00 for a 10′x20′ space. The type of products or vendors that the promoters are looking for are arts & craft vendors, food vendors, health fair providers, display, demonstration & exhibit participants, cake contest participants, kid parade participants, mascots in uniform for kid’s parade, car show exhibitors.

For the advertisement activities of the Iron City Festival there will be ads posted in the local newspaper, Spartanburg Channel 7, internet and radio broadcasting. Brochures and flyers will also be distributed at the SC Welcome Centers, schools, churches and businesses.
