What better way to spend your day off or evening with a loved one than by watching a funny comedy movie. And if it happens to be animated, all the better to unleash the child in you! Shark Tale fits the bill perfectly. With voices by such pros as Will Smith, Jack Black, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, you can be sure the animated characters come alive.

Shark Tale movie that was launched in 2004, stars Oscar, a small fish (voice by Will Smith), who like any other ambitious middle class fish dreams of lavish luxuries. Oscar is a whale-tongue washer and dreams of finding the pot of gold one day at the end of the rainbow. Dreams of Oscar plop out when he is suddenly approached by his boss Sykes (Martin Scorsese). Sykes reminds Oscar of the debt he owes to him and expects its repayment the very other day.

Oscar’s closest pal, Angie (Renee Zellweger) comes to his aid by offering to pawn her precious heirloom and provide him with the money to repay his debt. Oscar’s set to deliver the money to Sykes at the race-track when he’s overwhelmed by the sights and activities of his surroundings and succumbs to the urge of betting on a race horse. Lola (Angelina Jolie), a gorgeous lion fish, notices Oscar’s large bet and comes over to flirt with him, learning the truth in the process.

The horse on which Oscar has placed his bet unfortunately stumbles near the finishing line and loses the race. Sykes sees the money go in air in front of his eyes and becomes furious at Oscar. Oscar becomes really bothered as he starts imagining the consequence of zero debt repayment of Sykes. As Oscar wait to be electrocuted by Sykes’s jellyfish cronies Ernie and Bernie he suddenly approached by Lenny (Jack Black), a shark. Lenny and his brother Frankie (Michael Imperioli) work under the guidance and orders of their father Don Lino (Robert De Niro). Frankie aspires to teach Lenny to be a mean killer in a perfect manner and retain the long-lived reputation of his family in the mafia world.

As Lenny prepares to attack (well almost) Oscar as per the orders of his elder brother Frankie, Lenny manages to rescue Oscar from this troublesome situation. Frankie notices the intentions of Lenny of disobeying him and charges towards Lenny. An anchor hits Frankie accidentally and he dies. Lenny runs off from the spot and Oscar by the turn of fate wins the title of ‘Shark slayer’.

Oscar returns to accolades and becomes rich enough to employ Sykes as his manager and begins to live the rich life with his new girlfriend Lola. Things get complicated when Don Lino sends out his sharks to find Lenny and Oscar’s expected to combat the killers and drive them away. Complicating matters further is the return of Lenny who seeks shelter with Oscar. Angie’s discovery of the truth behind the sham also adds to Oscar’s misery as he struggles to keep up.
