« Artist and Audience: Make a Connection A Collection of Culture at the Craft Fair »
At the Arizona Renaissance Festival, you’ll be able to relive the old ages with the knights and kings! This medieval amusement park features a 12-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, jousting events and craft shows all in one exciting family adventure.
There are over two hundred booths that give you a wide selection of crafted items! Be part of the show and indulge your senses in the spectacular goods and wares that the Renaissance Festival’s artisan marketplace has. Hunt for unique items that can only be found in this fair: a sheep’s wool boa, a masterful piece of blown glass, vintage perfume, and maybe even studded leather armor.
Back in 1989, the following words introduced the event (which was a lot smaller at the time): “A King and His Court, Duelists and Ladies, Crafts, Food and Games, An Enchanted Kingdom Joust Just For You!” And in the twenty years since then, the spectacle has remained the same, but on a grander scale. From a humble village just eight acres wide, the spirit of the past now lingers on thirty grand acres of space. Go and relive the renaissance by joining the festivities; perhaps you can even seek knighthood and join in the Joust!
There are terrifying dragons, knights in steel armor, paladins in shining swords, noble steeds, court jesters, and of course, the fair damsels. All of these can be sighted in the Arizona Renaissance Festival. So, get out your armor and get in touch with your inner fantasy by going to the fair and experiencing the best of the old days in the present age.
In the United States, the Annual Renaissance Festival is one of the largest events. Commonly held in February, in the fanciful European villages situated on the site by the foothills of the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix, AZ. So, don’t dither! Pack up your sword and shield and enjoy your travel back in time.
