LEGAL NOTICE - Many people have the misconception that cloning DVD’s is illegal. It is not. After you purchase the rights to a specific type of software or album it is yours to do whatever you want with. You can put it in your iPod, transfer it to your computer, back it up on another CD, etc; all these practices are legal. Sharing them over the Internet or the redistribution of them (especially for commercial sale) is what is illegal. So keep that in mind when you clone.
A1 DVD Clone Studio 2.1 is another option. This is what they have to say about their product “With A1 DVD Clone Studio, you can back up an entire movie - including menus, trailers and special features. Some of our customers have complained about the difficulty they had copying DVDs, and this urged us to develop this software.”
Another favorite is Paragon Drive and this is what they have to say: “Windows Vista compatible version of Paragon Drive Backup is an easy-to-use software for complete hard disk backup, disk imaging, cloning. The up-to-date hard disk backup image created with it is the best insurance you may have in any disaster case.”I can’t speak for those as I haven’t used them (Clone DVD 4 has handled all my needs), but you may want to check them out.
In my opinion the best overall for copy DVD movies software is Clone DVD 4. It’s flexible and easy to use, and it synchronizes with a lot of common apps, hardware, and other software such as Sony PSP and Apple’s IPOD. A lot of cloners have used a combination of DVD Decrypter and AutoGK, and some others say AnyDVD + PgcEdit + VobBlanker + DVD Rebuilder PRO + ImgBurn work well. But the nice thing about Clone DVD 4 is that it is an all encompassing package, so you don’t need to purchase additional software to get the quality you need.
