Aliens in the Attic movie is a family oriented movie set in Michigan but originally shot in New Zealand. This movie has two parts to it. The digital effects are good and the cast is athletic, which helps make the action a bit more believable. The movie is based on alien invading Earth. The characters are both funny and appealing.

Care has been taken not to make the aliens look mechanical in their appearance. They speak in English. The aliens are four in number, commanded by Skip (J.K.Simmons’ voice) a warrior Razor who is a girl (Kari Wahlgren’s voice), muscular Tazer (Voiced by Thomas Church) and Sparks (Voiced by Josh Peek). The action is not too graphic which is a pleasant change for children movies.

The story begins with Kevin Nealon and Gillian Vigman (parents) deciding to go on a fishing vacation to their lake house in Michigan. Their children Carter Jenkins (who is a brainy child but fails in math), Ashley Tisdale (who has an annoying, creepy boyfriend Robert Hoffman) and Ashley Boettcher (whose role in the movie is to look adorable) accompany them on this trip. Joining them are their relatives, who form another family, which consists of the dad (Andy Richter) who is a beer drinker, a grandmother who is off centered (Doris Roberts), a male teen (Austin Butler) and a pair of identical twins (Henri and Regan Young).

Their vacation is disrupted by a meteor shower that hits the house’s attic and leaves four tiny aliens behind in it. The main motive of these aliens is to destroy man-kind. They mean to accomplish this feat by turning adult humans in to robots that are remotely controlled. For this, they plan to the inject adults in the neck and then implant a device which enable them to remote control the brain and movements of the adults. This implant is ineffective on children. It is up to the children to save the adults from being remotely controlled and to the save the world as well.

Robert Hoffman is one of the first adults to get implanted. His remote control finds its way in to the children’s hands who take advantage of it to make Robert slap himself, dance, twist, jerk and flip his body and then cannonball himself in to many embarrassing situations. One of the most interesting scenes in the movie is a kung-fu style, full contact fight scene between Robert and Doris.

Watch Aliens in the Attic online free, for many rounds of laughter. It is definitely worth watching with the family. The kids would love the part where the movie actor kids are involved in a battle with the aliens from space in the top section of the house while the adults are downstairs completely oblivious to the raging war.
