Online advertising is growing and many new classifieds sites are popping up. Welcome to the newest part of online ads, free video classifieds. Now even though classifieds monster backpage has stayed away from videos, other classified ad sites are reaping the benefits.

Video classified ads offer something that the world has never seen before; a potential buyer can watch a brief video, submitted by the seller, about a service or product. These videos are oftentimes accompanied by the sellers voice in the background while a car, for example, is being video-taped.

The Morton Pumpkin Festival is a pumpkin festival held in the city of Morton, Illinois. The dates weren’t specific back then, but now, the festival has a set date that runs on Wednesday up till Saturday during the middle of September. The city of Morton has earned its name ‘the Pumpkin Capital of the World’ due to this festival.

The event is a large affair around Morton. Around less than one thousand volunteers handle the food alone. The money earned, of course, goes to the community. The local businesses in the area (whether small enterprise or franchised) help with the volunteers, though they usually go with helping with the breakfast and dinners. It’s a hand-in-hand help one another type of thing when festival time comes.

Honey and Spice

'font-style:italic;' class='tvbyline'>by Ian Kleine

Mead is an alcoholic drink that is derived from honey and water, fermented and left to develop using yeast. The content may rise from that of slightly alcoholic, to one that could knock out a heavy drinker. More often than not, it is confused with the name ‘honey wine’ but it’s still mead. Nothing special but honey and wine.

One type of mead that has herbs and spices (common favorites are ginger, vanilla, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, oregano and even lavender) is called metheglin. Metheglin comes from the word meddyglyn which roughly means ‘healing liquor’ suggesting to its earlier use as a type of therapeutic or immediate drug.

'font-style:italic;' class='tvbyline'>by Ian Kleine

Nothing is exhilarating as watching whales break out of the water’s surface in a windy day out in the open sea. The water feels cool, the sun is beating down, and the whales break out in some sort of marine ballet.
